We are so grateful for everyone who packed shoeboxes this year from our church! A special thanks to the AWANA group, youth, senior adults, and our student group who joined in through packing parties, contributing to this year’s total. Your generosity is spreading joy and the love of Christ around the world!
In 2017 over 8.8 million shoe boxes were collected in the US to be sent all over the world. Every year, National Collection Week takes place the third week in November when nearly 5,000 drop-off locations are open across the country.
2024 marked the 10th year of Second Baptist Church serving as a drop-off/collection point for Ware County. After this year our church will have collected over 20,000 boxes for this ministry. Al and Belle Carter oversee this ministry and would be glad to share about the opportunities of collection week as well as the rest of the year and what may be needed.
