The image on this post may not look like anything amazing. It's not really that amazing, but there is far more there than you know when you look at it. It is a plastic Starbucks cup with cold coffee. But there is more there than you can see, so let me tell you the story.

More than likely, this cup began its trip inside the Kroger Starbucks. They don't charge for ice water, and I'm always drinking something. I tip the Barista for the water, so I consider it a win-win for everyone. I get a cup of ice water for $1, and they get a little something for their trouble while providing a service their company requires of them.

Typically destined for the landfill after one use, this cup is more than likely up near trip #25 with liquid inside. Most of those fillings have happened with the cold brew we make in our home with coffee from Sheffields, here in Waycross. Whether it is my black cold brew or Christy's Honey & Vanilla cold brew this cup has had far better coffee in it than its origins or signage would lead you to expect. So too is your life.

1 John 3 (NIV)
1See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
2Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
3All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

It is the week of Easter. You may have expectations about your life and even your standing with God but like this plastic cup God has so much more for you.
